We built our direction around beautiful decor pieces from @robertgordonpottery and branches of tamarillo fruit from a lovely elderly grower at the local markets. He couldn’t understand my excitement when I spotted his eclectic fruit stash, but they were the winning ingredient.

Our brief…curate a Neale Whitaker worthy #modernfarmhousestyle tablescape with textures, tones and handpicked decor pieces. So no pressure!

AND WE’RE BACK | What was meant to be a few mont

AND WE’RE BACK | What was meant to be a few month’s off the social grid AKA grind, turned into nearly a year. Ironically work got in the way. With so many great styling opportunities this year, there wasn’t much time for featuring it all.

So now it’s time to reconnect and I’ll kick it off with this lovely little soirée we styled for @madebystorey in Sydney. This is a great of example of how much flair and uniqueness you can add to a tablescape, no matter the size.

My brain always thinks in shapes, angles and layers. For this table we used interesting decor pieces for various heights and layered a wild selection of produce and flowers on top. Crockery and linens were kept to a minimum, so the centre of the table was the hero.

Then as always with our styling, the produce was donated to @ozharvest and not wasted.
